Our main office is located in Room 132 in the Music Building. There are parking meters available on the north end of Gilbert Drive as well as on-street parking near Annie's Woods and on the roads to the east of the building.
Deborah Booth (email@example.com) has been the director of the program since 1992. She came to the job after working in the continuing education area of the university for a number of years. Before that, she was a journalist for a newspaper in England and a producer for a public television station in Pennsylvania. She has a bachelor's degree in English from Franklin and Marshall College and a master's degree in English, with a film emphasis, from NIU. She has two children, both alums of the NIU Community School of the Arts.
Amanda Fawcett-Lothson (firstname.lastname@example.org) started work in the office as program assistant in August of 2012 after earning a master's degree in historical musicology from NIU. Before getting a master's she earned a bachelor's degree in violin performance from Indiana University and currently teaches violin for the community school. Her role in the office includes managing program registrations, working with teachers and students, website updates, and maintaining our social media.
Jayeeta Chowdhury-Woodstrup (email@example.com) began work as a program assistant in September 2013. Her previous NIU job was with the Center for Southeast Asian Studies. Her other past professional experiences have been in grants and contracts, nonprofit administration, and journalism. She has training in Indian classical music and plays the harmonium and tanpura. Her responsibilities include program management, registration, and budgets and contracts.
Doris Grubbs handles the budget work for the office. Doris recently retired as office administrator from the College of Education.
