With 18 departments, 33 baccalaureate degree programs, and more than 5,900 undergraduate students, NIU College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is the largest of the University's 6 undergraduate colleges. It also offers 31 graduate programs, including 11 at the doctoral level, for over 1,000 master's and doctoral students. The College is also home to seven research centers and five interdisciplinary research and teaching programs: the Center for Latino and Latin American Studies, the Center for Southeast Asian Studies, the Center for Non-Governmental Organization Leadership and Development, the Women's Studies Program, and the Institute for the Study of the Environment, Sustainability and Energy.
