Advisory Panel

Our advisory board is comprised of non-NIU personnel who are leaders in several fields relevant to language and literacy research, scholarship, and education. These individuals will have a strong history of conducting interdisciplinary research and/or have developed interdisciplinary institutes or programs. Members of the advisory board include:

• Art Graesser - Professor of Psychology and adjunct professor in Computer Science at the University of Memphis
• Timothy Shanahan - Professor of Urban Education in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Illinois-Chicago
• Catherine Snow - Henry Lee Shattuck Professor of Education in the Graduate School of Education at Harvard University
