Feedback

This tutorial is maintained by staff volunteers at the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning and they do their best to correct any mistakes in the content or problems encountered in the use of the tutorial. But they cannot provide technical support to users or diagnose problems with users' computers, internet connections or browsers.

The tutorial has been proof-read with the help of staff at Northern Illinois University's Writing Center and the Department of English, and has been tested by several faculty, staff and student volunteers to the best of their abilities. But as it is the case with any freeware that is continuously being revised with users' feedback, some minor mistakes or problems that did not surface during the testing of this tutorial could be identified by users. The development team appreciates receiving constructive and specific feedback on any mistakes or problems identified by users.

Some problems encountered by users when using the tutorial may be related to the use of non-java enabled browsers, local computer's settings, and interference from other software running on the local computer at the same time when this tutorial is being used, or the constraints on the type of access to the Internet. But before reporting any problems encountered with the tutorial users are urged to make sure of the following requirements first: (1) the pop-up blocker is disabled, (2) the browser used to access the tutorial is a Java-enabled Internet Explorer browser, and (3) any other software running on the computer is not interfering with the tutorial.
