Professor, Engineering Technology
Liping Guo, Ph.D. is a professor of engineering technology in the College of Engineering Technology. Her research interests are in the areas of power electronics, power systems, renewable energy and control. She is the principal investigator on several projects funded by the National Science Foundation and Argonne National Laboratory and she is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
In March, she will be one of only five NIU faculty invited to present her research on renewable energy and power electronics at the 3rd annual Capitol Hill poster session and reception hosted by NIU in Washington, D.C. The event works to raise awareness about NIU and its research among members of Congress and federal agencies. Professor Guo will have the opportunity to meet with congressional staff and federal program managers, along with alumni, students, and administrators.
