Discussion of Problem
Causes of present conditions
Possible consequences of present conditions
Description of the solution
Explanation of how it will solve the problem: will it remove the causes of the problem, offset the effects or consequences of the problem, or do a little of each?
Personnel: Who will do the work? Installation? Maintenance? Who will be affected by the project? Positively? Negatively?
Facilities and Equipment: What changes will have to be made in the present facilities? What equipment or other hardware will have to be used? Do we have it or where and how will we obtain it? How will our utilities be affected? Will some other part of our
operation suffer because of reduced facilities?
Schedule: When will we do it? When does the first phase begin, what will it involve, and when will it be completed? When does the second phase begin, what will it involve, and when will it be completed? etc. How will this schedule fit in with the normal operation of our business?
How much will it cost? Include everything: hardware, labor, insurance etc.
How long will it take to pay for itself? Make projections using more than one interest and return possibility.
