What's Next
Long-term planning for sustainability at NIU is underway. The Green Team is developing a sustainability plan to guide NIU's environmental future.
In the short-term, we are:
- collaborating with campus and community partners to advance a communiversity bike-share program
- working with students to update the map of campus bike racks
- writing highlights of departmental sustainability
- contacting community partners to expand recycling options
- teaming up with campus departments to deliver increased sustainability outreach and education
Suggestions for the sustainability plan or short-term projects will again be accepted once staff have been identified to lead this initiative.
