Student Emergency Fund Update
The Student Emergency Fund is closed during the 2022 summer school sessions. We are hopeful to reopen the Student Emergency Fund in the fall 2022 semester with a date to be determined.
The NIU Emergency Fund was established to provide assistance to NIU students who have been impacted by COVID-19 or whose circumstances have been exacerbated as a result of the pandemic. These funds are designed to help students continue their education; therefore, they are reserved for students who are currently enrolled in courses at NIU.
Please note: In order to be eligible to receive funding from the NIU Student Emergency Fund, students must have either shown proof of vaccination or be currently compliant with their weekly surveillance testing requirement. Information on about the vaccine and surveillance testing requirements is available on NIU’s Protecting the Pack site.
