Hello, Huskie families!
Make sure you reach out to your student with extra encouragement as the semester ends this week. Our December graduates are enjoying Commencement this weekend, and Huskies are headed into a break from classes until Jan. 18.
My last newsletter of 2021 is your guide to the spring 2022 semester. Share these reminders with your student to help them be ready for the opportunities to come in a fresh academic term and new year.

Beyond assisting Huskies with success in the classroom and on campus, our staff is here to help them prepare for a rewarding job. Have your student visit Career Services online to:
-
Get a career check-up or a more in-depth advising session to plan their job/internship search.
-
Book a mock interview or virtual appointment to assess their LinkedIn profile and resume.
-
Browse self-guided online resources, including a career pathway dashboard and learning lab.
-
Learn about career/internship fairs, and search Huskies Get Hired for on- or off-campus jobs.
You'll hear from me again after the campus closure running from Dec. 20 through Jan. 3. Our teams are here for you and your student over the rest of winter break.
Enjoy the holidays and get in touch if we can help before your Huskie returns to campus. Reply to this email, or contact the Center for Student Assistance at 815-753-8300 or studentassistance@niu.edu.
Go Huskies!
