Graduate Student and Assistantship Recruitment Program

The Graduate Student and Assistantship Recruitment Program (GSARP) is a collaborative effort between the Division of Student Affairs and the College of Education Department of Counseling and Higher Education (CAHE). This partnership allows us to provide you with a vigorous academic program and hands-on practical experience to help you become a successful Student Affairs practitioner. By participating in GSARP, you'll learn about the benefits of being a graduate assistant in Student Affairs or a partnering department. There are two GSARP events, Graduate Assistant (GA) Interview Day and GSARP Weekend.

GA Interview Day

GA Interview Day will give you the opportunity to interview for multiple graduate assistantships on the same day. The event is designed for you if you’re a graduate student who is currently enrolled in CAHE or beginning a CAHE program in the spring 2019 semester. You can also participate if you’re a graduate assistant in Student Affairs and want to find a different assistantship.

There is no limit to the number of graduate assistantships to which you can apply. However, due to high demand, you can interview for no more than eight positions on GA Interview Day. Interviews are determined by the departments. Registration is now closed.

GSARP Weekend

If you’ll be starting a CAHE program in the fall 2019 semester and want to find an assistantship, GSARP Weekend is for you.
