Are you attending NIU on any scholarships?
Deutsch Family Scholarship.

Why did you choose your field of study?
I chose my field of study because I enjoy watching what makes businesses tick and seeing how technology has been integrated into the process.

How did you learn about NIU, and why did you choose to attend?
I learned about NIU through many friends and family who attended. During my time at Elgin Community College, one of my professors who was an NIU alumnus would always tell his classes to pick a “good school, good major and good job.” This little quote stuck with me and helped me to not only decide on NIU but stay on track and finish strong.

What has your experience inside the classroom been like at NIU?
I have really gotten to know my professors and build professional relationships that will propel my career.

What is something you have experienced at NIU that you will be able to take with you into future endeavors in your field?
Networking is an important key for success in the business world, and NIU is a very good place to start building your network. It provides different types of events, such as clubs and organizations, that let you meet students with the same career interests, and also alumni and professionals who can you succeed in your career. I am the logistics officer for the AITP—Association of Information Technology Professionals—where I have had the chance to meet many friends and future associates.

Would you recommend NIU to others and why?
Yes, I would! NIU is a great school, with a great reputation and even better business school. I am proud to be a Huskie and future NIU alumna.
