Are you attending NIU on any scholarships?
Yes I have one of NIU's Merit Scholarships, as well as grants and other financial aid.

Why did you choose your field of study?
One of the reasons I chose my major was because I wanted to have to keep my options open. As a Business Administration major, I am learning a variety of concepts from all of the departments in the College of Business. Also, it adds some flexibility to pick up certificates and minors, too!

How did you learn about NIU, and why did you choose to attend? 
I consider Northern to be a family school because so many of my family members have graduated from here, so I feel like I've known about NIU since I was a kid. The reason I chose NIU was because it was the best financial option and it's the perfect distance away from home.

Do you have any favorite activities or events at NIU? 
There's so many unique spots and activities on campus that go unnoticed if all I do is go to class. Some of my favorite events are the craft nights that happen on campus. My favorite so far was a tie-dying event I went to my first year!

What is up next for you after your time at NIU? Any plans you would like to share?
After I graduate with my bachelor's degree I plan on attending law school. Because I feel passionate about both business and law, I plan on studying corporate law in the future.

What’s a general piece of advice you’d give to someone starting college?
I would tell them that it's okay to not have a clear plan in mind when coming to college. College is the perfect time to learn about what you want to do in the future.
