Describe your typical day—what do you do while at work?
A typical day for me includes overseeing our Huskie Engagement Center student ambassadors while they reach out to alumni, parents and friends of NIU. I also personally reach out to donors to keep them updated on what is going on at NIU, relay volunteer opportunities and ask them to continue their support.

What do you like about working at NIU?
I love having the opportunity to interact with our alumni and students on a daily basis.

What advice would you give to students currently attending NIU?
I would advise students to live a life of balance. I encourage all students to get as involved as possible at NIU. Some connections can last a lifetime.

I love NIU football games!

In what ways do you see your colleagues help foster student success?
All of my colleagues work hard every day to build a culture of giving at NIU that allows students to attend and stay at NIU no matter their financial situation.

My favorite memory of NIU so far was seeing President Lisa C. Freeman become the first female president of NIU!

Growing up, I wanted to be a veterinarian. I changed paths after working at an animal hospital in high school and discovering I did not have the stomach for it.

I enjoy reading, cooking and spending time with my family.
