The Student Association plays a critical role in the university’s system of shared governance. RecWell consistently works with Student Association representatives to discuss concerns and develop solutions that further advance recreational opportunities for NIU students. More specifically, the president, the vice-president, the director of Athletics & Recreation and the speaker of the Senate serve as the voice of the student body regarding students’ recreational needs.
