Training for Employees

Before returning to campus for work, all employees must complete a brief training covering COVID-19 safety measures and protocols.

You are encouraged to complete the training while working remotely and before returning to campus. If you intend to return to working on campus, but lack adequate home internet access, you should take the training immediately upon returning to NIU. Employees who have already been working on campus are also required to take the training, because it is based upon the most up-to-date information and guidance available to us.

How to Complete the Training

  1. The training can be accessed via your smartphone, tablet or computer through Blackboard Learn.
  2. Once logged into Blackboard, select the "Organizations" link from the black toolbar on the left side of the site.
  3. Click on "Returning to Work on Campus Training" to begin the training. 
  4. After watching the entire training, click the "Submit" button before closing the video in order to access a copy of your completion certificate.
  5. Email a copy of the completion certificate to your department. If this is not possible, send an email to your department stating you have completed the training.
