One-dose vaccine clinic this Thursday at the Convocation Center

Appointments are now available for the one-dose Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen (J&J/Janssen) COVID-19 vaccine from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 29, at the NIU Convocation Center.

This vaccine is recommended for people age 18 years and older and requires only one dose. You should
review the fact sheet about the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) of the J&J/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine, the Illinois Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions and the COVID-19 Vaccine FAQ on the NIU Protecting the Pack website.

To schedule an appointment:

  1. On the calendar, choose a time slot. Open time slots are in green. Click on your preferred appointment date and time.
  2. Click on “Add to cart.”
  3. Click on “Continue.”
  4. On the “Checkout” screen, complete the required contact information and select “Continue.”
  5. Review your information to ensure it is correct and click on “Submit registration.”
  6. You will receive an email containing your appointment date, time and QR code. Take a screenshot of the QR code and make sure to bring it with to your appointment along with a photo ID and a printed and completed consent form.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration have recommended that use of the J&J/Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine resume in the United States.
