Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update March 18, 2020 Employee travel reimbursement The health and safety of NIU students, faculty, and staff are our number one priority. We understand that many employee travel plans have been impacted by coronavirus (COVID-19) because of health and safety concerns, government restrictions and event cancellations. The university will support travelers in making other arrangements and/or reimbursing travel related expenses. A guide addressing Frequently Asked Questions and instructions on how to submit a reimbursement request are available on the Accounts Payable Services website. Information about non-coronavirus related reimbursements can be found on the NIU Travel page. For travel purchased with sponsored funds, please consult the Sponsored Programs Administration to ensure compliance with federal agency or related guidelines.
