Required Training

NIU employees are required to complete New Employee Nondiscrimination and Sexual Misconduct training within their first 30 days of employment as required by both Illinois state law and NIU policy. This mandatory training provides critical information about reporting obligations and resources for NIU employees who become aware of actual or suspected incidents of discrimination and/or sexual misconduct.  

Sexual Misconduct Awareness and Prevention Annual Training for Northern Illinois Employees is also required each year to provide you with updated information about NIU policies and procedures.
