New Student Healthy Relationships and Sexual Misconduct Training
All new undergraduate students are required to complete online training about healthy relationships and sexual misconduct by Oct. 31. The training takes less than 30 minutes and can be accessed and completed through Blackboard at any time.
Students who complete the training prior to the start of the semester will be entered in a weekly drawing for swag from NIU’s Prevention, Education and Outreach office. Four winners will be chosen each week.
How to Access Training
Take the following steps to complete your New Student Healthy Relationships and Sexual Misconduct training:
Select Organizations in the left column and then select the New Student Healthy Relationships and Sexual Misconduct training: Huskies Helping Huskies.
Select the Overview and Instructions tab for instructions on how to successfully complete this training.
Review the Policies and Resources tab for NIU policies as well as campus and community resources.
Select the Sexual Misconduct Training Video and review the Sexual Harassment slide. This slide contains information about NIU’s sexual misconduct policy that is not mentioned in the training video. After you have read the content on this one slide, select the “Mark Reviewed” button under the slide.
Watch the Sexual Misconduct Training video. Upon completion, select the “Mark Reviewed” button under the video.
Select Sexual Misconduct Training Quiz and take the quiz. You will need to score at least an 80% and then you will be able to see your Certificate of Completion.
