Vendors that are conducting business with NIU departments must purchase a service permit to park on campus. The service permit allows access to reserved service spaces for the purpose of loading, unloading, and delivering equipment and/or goods.
Since Parking Services is not open to in person sales, permits must be purchased online.
The cost is as follows: $5 a day, $10 a week, $25 a month or $135 for an annual service/vendor permit.
Service/vendor permits allow individuals to park for up to 30 minutes in a reserved service space. After the 30 minutes expires, the individual is required to park in any blue permit lot.
Justification is needed in order to obtain a service/vendor permit. Please email Parking Services at firstname.lastname@example.org with the name and title of the requestor, the name of the company, a brief description of the nature of the business on campus, the amount of time they are requesting - if longer than 30-minutes. The coordinator of parking will review the request and a decision will be made to approve, deny or modify it.
Vendors who fail to make proper arrangements for the use of the on-campus university parking facilities will be subject to current parking enforcement regulations.
