Engagement at NIU

Engagement is an essential goal of our division. From working together with faculty to support their teaching and research practices to building collaborative partnerships with the community, we thrive on making connections to improve our region. 

NIU is bestowed with a Community Engagement classification by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. OERD's contributions to our university in community engagement and campus collaboration have helped us earn this distinguished classification.
