Annual Civil Service Celebration

Civil Service Celebration (formerly StaffFest) was created by OSC in 1998 and is held annually in August. The purpose of the event is to celebrate the great work done by NIU’s civil service employees throughout the year and is supported by NIU leadership. Employees are provided with lunch, often served up by administrators, and can participate in events to raise money for the Operating Staff Dependent Endowed Scholarship. Past celebrations have included a dunk tank, pie toss, outdoor games, a photo booth and crafts. The event is planned by a university-wide committee.
