Orientation Service Project
Being a Huskie means supporting our campus and community! You can do this at orientation by bringing one of the items listed below with you to orientation. The items you bring will be donated to the Huskie Food Pantry and will have an impact on your fellow NIU students.
What is the Huskie Food Pantry?
The Huskie Food Pantry provides supplemental support to currently enrolled NIU students without a meal plan who are experiencing food insecurity at no cost to the student. You’ll find that the food pantry is a welcoming and inclusive environment where students can gather the resources needed to alleviate hunger, make healthy food choices and focus more on academic success than meeting their basic needs.
How can I help?
When you check-in to your orientation program, you’ll see a drop box for your items. We’ll make sure they get to the Huskie Food Pantry.
