Sandra Kupelian teaches Legal Methods, Legal Writing and Advocacy I and II, and Lawyering Skills. She also teaches students in the Academic Success Program and serves as Moot Court Faculty Advisor. Prior to joining the faculty at NIU Law, Ms. Kupelian served on the faculty at DePaul University College of Law. Before joining academia full-time, Ms. Kupelian taught as an adjunct at DePaul while practicing law in Chicago. She began working of counsel for the Gloor Law Group, LLC. in 2006, where she focused on critical motions and appeals in toxic tort, product liability and commercial litigation after the firm spun off from Cassiday, Schade & Gloor, LLP., where she had been a partner working on trial, appellate and insurance coverage litigation matters. Before she joined private practice, Ms. Kupelian was an appellate law clerk, first for Justice Marvin D. Dunn and then for Justice James F. Quetsch of the Illinois Appellate Court, Second District.

She is a member of the bar of the United States Supreme Court, the Supreme Court of the State of Illinois, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois, Central District of Illinois, and Western District of Michigan. She is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Legal Writing Institute.
