Chad Glover
Director, Jobs PLUS

Chad is the architect and founder of Jobs PLUS at NIU. As the director, he partners with on-campus and off-campus employers who provide work experiences for NIU students while they are in college. These partnerships integrate the university into work experiences by infusing additional professional development that will help students become better employees for the business or organization that they work for and also contribute to their career development. In addition to his duties with Jobs PLUS, he also manages the operational side of the On-Campus Internship Program.

He began his current appointment with over a decade of experience in higher education, having worked in a number of roles in Human Resource Services at NIU that included leading the university’s Student Employment Office and Office of Graduate Assistantship Employment. Chad has served on a number of campus-wide committees and is a past recipient of the University Friends award for his contribution and commitment to diverse student learning styles and the Supportive Professional Staff Award for Advocacy. He also served on the university’s Administrative Task Force for Program Prioritization. In 2013-14, Chad was recognized multiple times as part of NIU’s Bold Futures Workshops for innovative proposals on supervising student employees, college affordability and enhancing the part-time employment experiences of students.

An alumnus of NIU, Chad first came to DeKalb as a first-generation college student. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in political science with an emphasis in public law. He credits NIU faculty for the transformational experience he had as a student. Chad is a native of Dalzell, IL and a graduate of Hall High School in Spring Valley, IL.
