New Residence Hall

Located just east of Grant Towers, New Residence Hall features cluster living with enhanced privacy. Students live small group clusters of 12, and each share a semiprivate restroom with one other student. A common space for each group of 12 residents includes a study area, living room area and kitchen-like area. New Residence Hall's large community center also features an "All You Care to Eat" food court, a recreation facility and a study lounge.

The safety and security of every resident is important to us. New Hall residents use their OneCard to enter the building 24/7. Residents must use their OneCard and a PIN to get into their cluster and use their room key to get into their room. At night, photo ID verification and guest check-in is enforced, and hall staff and NIU Police are available 24/7.
