About Us

Welcome to the HERG. We have an interest in the broad relationship amongst physical activity, exercise, fitness and physical and mental health parameters, with a particular focus on older adults and people with multiple sclerosis. We are housed within the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education at Northern Illinois University.

Our group uses a variety of methods and works to improve health and well-being through physical activity, with the ultimate goal of improving quality of life.
