About Our Varsity Program
NIU is proud to be a founding member of the Esports Collegiate Conference (ESC), an independent esports conference comprised of 14 universities and growing.
Our varsity teams practice and compete in the NIU Esports Arena located on our DeKalb Campus in Altgeld 100. Our program consists of regularly scheduled evening and weekend practices with an esports coach. Games are shoutcasted and broadcast on the NIU Esports Twitch channel.
Our varsity game titles are:
- Valorant (fall)
- Rocket League (fall)
- League of Legends (spring)
- Overwatch (spring)
