Engaged Learning, Teaching and Scholarship Conference

Developing Meaningful Partnerships and Community Engagement at NIU

Due to the rapidly escalating health concerns relating to the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), NIU’s Engaged Learning, Teaching, and Scholarship (ELTS) Conference planned for March 17, 2020, has been postponed until 2021.

We appreciate your interest in the conference and topic of developing meaningful partnerships and look forward to update you as soon as we identify an alternative date for this fall.

We are committed to promoting excellence and engagement in teaching and learning, research and scholarship, creativity and artistry and outreach and service. The first Engaged Learning, Teaching and Scholarship conference was held at NIU in March 2018. We shared best practices and celebrated the many ways that faculty and staff collaborate with regional partners and engage students using high-impact pedagogies and experiences.

The Engaged Learning, Teaching and Scholarship Conference is coordinated in collaboration with the Office of Student Engagement and Experiential Learning, Division of Outreach, Engagement and Regional Development, Faculty Development and Instructional Design Center, University Libraries, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and Center for Nonprofit and NGO Studies.
