The NIU website themes are built using a combination of the Bootstrap v3.2 Responsive Framework, a combination of HTML5, CSS, and JS, and custom CSS and JS assets developed by Outreach Creative Services and Campus Web Services at NIU's DoIT. Most common html tags are set to appear consistently throughout the NIU web presence, but some elements require the addition of some css classes in order to benefit fully from the responsive framework. Still other custom classes have been created to enhance the visual design and user experience.
