Get ready to carry your new OneCard with #HuskiePride.

Students, faculty and staff were asked to vote on an updated design for the NIU OneCard, and the votes have been tallied. Below is the new OneCard has been selected.

Starting July 26, you can get your new card prior your phase by turning in your old OneCard and paying the $10 replacement fee.

Your new OneCard comes with the new feature of Near Field Communication technology. Rather than having to swipe your OneCard, you will now be able to tap your OneCard at many locations, including all dining locations on campus, the NIU Recreation Center and at campus laundry facilities. This new feature will be available by fall 2023 at all locations where the OneCard is accepted.

Parking lot repairs to begin Monday, June 21, 2021

Lot 15E located just north of the Recreation Center will be closed from Monday, June 21 – Thursday, June 24 for maintenance and lot repairs. The lot is scheduled to reopen on Friday, June 25. During this time, blue and yellow permit holders are asked to park in other areas, such as along Stadium Drive.

Lot 44 located north of Barsema Hall will be closed from Monday, June 21 – Friday, June 25 for maintenance and lot repairs. The lot is scheduled to reopen on Monday, June 28. During this time, blue permit holders are asked to park either on Garden Road or in lots 40 or 2.

The large section of lot E located south of Anderson Hall will be closed from Monday, June 21 – Friday, June 25 for maintenance and lot repairs. The lot is scheduled to reopen on Monday, June 28.During this time, blue and yellow permit holders are asked to park in nearby lots 2, small section of lot E or on Garden Road.

Lot maintenance and repairs are weather permitting, and may fluctuate some if there is adverse weather conditions. For more information, contact Campus Parking Services at (815) 753-1045 or parking@niu.edu.

Deadlines

FY2021 Accounting Office deadlines
We’re preparing to wrap up another fiscal year here at NIU and it’s important that we finalize the university’s FY21 financial statements in a timely manner. Please ensure that all FY21 transactions for your department are properly classified and submitted to the Accounting Office by the deadlines listed below:

All FY2021 invoices, payment authorizations, check requests and travel reimbursement requests due to Accounts Payable Services at AccountsPayableSrvs@niu.edu or Lowden Hall 208.

Year-end cutoff for posting all journal activity occurring in June from all fund sources due to General Ledger at JournalEntries@niu.edu.

July 14, 2021

All FY2021 cash and/or checks received must be deposited at the Bursar’s Office in Swen Parson 235, and must be made in accordance with Bursar’s Office policy.

June 30, 2021

 

It’s very important to note that transactions required to be processed in FY21 must be received by the requested due dates (do not hold FY21 documents even if the deadline has passed).
