Education and Experience

Professor Groves joined NIU in 2005 after earning his Ph.D. from Washington University in Saint Louis. Groves serves as the director of Graduate Studies and is also a faculty member of the School of Global and Public Affairs at NIU.

Groves has papers published in land economics and regional science and urban economics. His published work looks at housing markets, property tax incidence and local government policy issues such as school assignment and homeownership associations.
