I am a graduate student here at NIU and enjoy working with other students. My therapeutic orientation is cognitive-behavioral, and my clinical interests are in trauma, women’s issues, anxiety and working with veterans. Outside of the office, I love to read, especially historical fiction and nonfiction, horror and thrillers. I’m originally from upstate New York, so I also love mountains, hiking and the changing of the fall leaves.
I am a fifth-year doctoral candidate in the Clinical Psychology program at Northern Illinois University. I earned my M.A. degree here in 2016. I have research and clinical interests in trauma and PTSD, sexual assault and veterans. I am currently conducting my dissertation project on trauma, social support, and negative posttraumatic cognitions and applying for internship for the following year.
