Collaboration, productivity, teamwork - how do you make that happen in a way that builds and maintains highly productive teams? This engaging one-day workshop provides students with steps to build stronger teams across all levels of the organization to help drive company initiatives. You'll identify the originals of what defines a team, learn theories and methods for building successful teams, develop strategies to grow the collaborative team approach at your organization, align team mission with company mission, and address potential resistance or barriers to the team approach in your workplace.
This program blends instructor-led classroom learning with online learning activities, quizzes and a final post course assessment. Online reference tools and resources are available for use in your workplace.
Participants are required to attend the one-day interactive course and complete post classroom online learning activities for award of CEU's/Certificate of Completion. Students will receive an e-mail communication from the SHRM Distribution Center 3-5 days prior to class start with details related to setting up a personal user id and password for the online component of the course.
Students will need to complete a brief online pre-course assessment to gauge current level of knowledge prior to coming to the live classroom session.
When you register, you understand once the course begins, if the course format must be changed from in-person to virtual meetings due to health and safety considerations for Restore Illinois, you will fulfill your attendance requirements in our online course format. Online meetings will still be instructor-led. Transfer to a future course session or cancellations will be honored only before a course's start date.
Students are required to have Internet access, and use a web camera and microphone to participate in the online live sessions. This equipment is not provided by the university.
The course costs $575. SHRM members and NIU alumni receive a discount.
