Visiting an NIU Conference Center?
We’ve already taken a number of steps in support of our guests and team members, with increased safety measures and operational changes. And we’ll continue to monitor activities and developments related to the spread and management of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in coordination with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Illinois Department of Public Health and our local public health departments.
We’ve enhanced our procedures including increasing cleaning of frequently touched surfaces, adding more sanitizing stations and expanding overnight cleaning.
We’ve modified our food service to facilitate physical distancing, include Plexiglas shields and offer prepackaged food items for breaks and hot or cold boxed lunches.
Masks and Gloves
We’re requiring team members to wear masks and gloves and follow healthy hygiene habits as guided by the CDC. Staff have completed the ServSafe®
We’ve adjusted furniture placement, registration and food service stations; modified seating
arrangements; and added additional signage to encourage physical distancing.
We’ve posted signage on the floors, at the entrances and throughout the building to encourage health and maintain safety guidelines. We’ve posted proper hand-washing reminders and seating closures for physical distancing.
We’ve altered our meeting and dining room seating capacities to maintain physical distancing standards.
We’ve got you covered. For vulnerable or out-of-town attendees or speakers, our in-house technology and on-site AV Team will help you reach everyone in real time or record content for future use.
We’ve got a flexible policy because we know this has been
a very stressful time for meeting and event planners. We’re here to help you find the right space, food options and technology you need to get your business back on track.
We’re asking our clients to communicate with onsite staff and attendees that they will be required to wear a mask and follow the most current physical distancing policy included in their room rental agreement when inside an NIU facility.
