We are always looking for new and dynamic individuals to serve on the planning committee for NIU Cares. Serving on this committee is a unique opportunity to network across the university and to use your talents for an extremely worthwhile event. The committee convenes each November and is open to students, faculty, and staff. We request a six-month commitment from each member. There are four sub-committees:
Campus recruitment: Informing and recruiting our volunteer teams from the student body using various marketing concepts. This committee is also in charge of team leader orientations prior to the event.
Community recruitment: Informing and recruiting project sites with local community agencies and not-for-profit organizations about NIU Cares and assisting them with the registration process.
Logistics: Coordinates activities/events including registration, transportation, program evaluation, food/supply distribution and audio/visual equitpment.
