A significant upgrade is scheduled to be performed to the Blackboard Learn System over Memorial Day Weekend. The upgrade will begin at 5:00 AM on Saturday, May 23, 2015 and will complete by 5:00 AM on Monday, May 25, 2015. The Blackboard Learn System ( will be UNAVAILABLE during this time.

The latest version of Blackboard Learn, 9.1 April 2014 Release, will introduce several new exciting features, including:

  • Portfolios: Completely rebuilt portfolio system that facilitates student reflection on their learning 
  • Anonymous & Delegated Grading: Grade student work without identifying information, and delegate grading to other faculty, teaching assistants, or graders
  • Student Preview: Easily view and test the student experience in a course
  • SafeAssign: Plagiarism checking is now integrated into the Assignment tool, expanding the tools available for grading student work submitted for plagiarism checking
  • Significant Figures on Calculated Test Questions: Indicate the appropriate number of significant figures for test questions with auto-generated problem sets
