Manage your Zoom Sessions in Blackboard
While Microsoft Teams remains the primary collaboration tool for the university, and Blackboard Collaborate is available for all faculty and staff to use for teaching, Zoom is now also available as another alternative synchronous collaboration tool for academic purposes.
The Zoom integration in Blackboard allows you to schedule your Zoom sessions from within your Blackboard course. You and your students can then access your upcoming sessions and cloud recordings of past sessions within your Blackboard course.
The Zoom integration in Blackboard has separate links for faculty and students to access the Zoom scheduler. Be sure that you are using the correct link; you will receive an error if you try to access the student link.
In Ultra Course View, you access Zoom under Details & Actions, by clicking Books & Tools. Students can do the same, or you can create a link for them using the Content Marketin your course content list.
In Original Course View, you access Zoom in the Control Panel under Course Tools. Students access Zoom via the Tools link on the course menu. You can also customize your course menu to add a link directly to the Zoom scheduler, to make it easier for students to find their Zoom sessions.
