Support Available to Use Blackboard During COVID-19 Disruption

Posted: 3/13/2020

In an effort to make it as easy as possible for faculty who aren't using Blackboard in their teaching but may wish to do so as they alter their course delivery due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, all Blackboard courses that have not yet been requested by faculty for the spring 2020 semester have been created and set to be unavailable to students by default. Faculty not previously using Blackboard but who choose to now do so will be able to simply login to Blackboard at and access their automatically created course(s).

Getting Started with Blackboard

Faculty Development and Instructional Design Center staff are available to assist any faculty, staff, or teaching assistant who has questions about Blackboard or would like assistance in getting started with the basics of using Blackboard. Schedule an appointment for one-on-one assistance either in-person, by phone, or virtually or stop by Founders Library 293 anytime between 9am-4:30pm, Monday, March 16th - Friday, March 20th. You can also call 815-753-0595 or email for assistance.
