About Administrative Professionals Advisory Council
The Administrative Professionals Advisory Council (APAC) was founded at NIU in 1995 as the Secretarial Task Force. The group was established to inform the administration of issues and concerns that affected the university's secretarial employees. The task force grew to become a valuable resource for office support staff on campus and other administrative professionals.
Throughout the years, APAC's mission has remained the same: to identify and resolve issues that affect the administrative support staff at NIU, as well as to advocate for our constituents. Today, we fulfill our mission through a variety of projects and resources. We also help create a welcoming campus by offering community-building events and programs.
