In accordance with the Academic Policies and Procedures Manual (APPM), all faculty and Supportive Professional Staff (SPS) positions require a search be conducted to ensure that all qualified candidates receive equitable consideration for employment. Through effective management and oversight of the recruitment plan, non-discriminatory position advertisement, the Part I process (identification of qualified candidates), and the Part II process (identification of the chosen candidate for hire), AAEC’s role is to ensure that the University is casting the “widest” net possible to attract, hire and retain a qualified pool of candidates with diversity captured as a critical component.
