Update Your Emergency Contact Information

In all three of these emergency contact instances, this contact information will be registered confidentially and will only be accessible to authorized campus officials and law enforcement in order for them to make the appropriate contacts. The designated contacts will remain in effect until changed or revoked by you, the student.

Mental Health

Designate an adult as your emergency mental health contact who would be contacted only if a physician, clinical psychologist or other mental health professional on campus identifies a mental health emergency that puts the student or others at risk for serious injury or death.

Missing Person

Designate a contact person(s) to notify if you were to be determined missing. This person(s) would be notified by the university no more than 24 hours after the student is determined missing by campus police or the local law enforcement agency.

Designate up to two of your emergency contacts who wil be contacted in the event of an emergency and will receive NIU Safety Bulletins if this option is selected.
