Grade components:

• 7 quizzes (throw out the lowest score) - 50 points each (300 points maximum).
• 12 laboratories - 15 points each (180 points maximum).
  • Note: Each student must get 108 points or more in the laboratory to pass the course, regardless of other scores.
• 7 homework assignments - 12 points each, due at the time of the quiz (84 points maximum).
• 7 in class exercises - 8 points each (56 points maximum)
• final exam - 100 points (100 points maximum).

Grading scale:

• A : 530 or more points
• B : 460 to 529 points
• C : 390 to 459 points
• D : 320 to 389 points
• F : less than 320 points
