GETTING TO THE 2014 INTERNATIONAL
VIRGINIA WOOLF CONFERENCE

If you choose to stay in on-campus housing, the conference site will be across the street. However, if you choose to stay off-campus, we recommend purchasing a CTA pass to travel to and from the conference. Loyola University is a short bus or “L” ride away from most downtown hotels, including the conference hotel (the Tremont), and the #147 Outer Drive Express bus will drop you off right in front of the Mundelein Center, where the conference will be held.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From the North:
Follow Sheridan Road south to the campus entrance. Note that at the intersection of Sheridan, Broadway and Devon, Sheridan continues to the left. Make sure you turn left at this intersection and go under the “L” tracks. The main entrance to campus is at the second light on the left.

From West and I-94:
Take I-94 East to Touhy Avenue. Go east on Touhy to Sheridan Road. Turn right (south) on Sheridan Road and continue south to Loyola. Note that at the intersection of Sheridan, Broadway and Devon, Sheridan continues to the left. Make sure you turn left at this intersection and go under the “L” tracks. The main entrance to campus is at the second light on the left.

From West and I-88:
Take I-88 East (East-West Tollway) east into I-290 East (Eisenhower Expressway). Continue on I-290 until it ends at Congress Blvd. Take Congress past Michigan Avenue to Columbus Drive and turn left. Continue on Columbus to the next stoplight, which is Jackson Blvd. Turn right and proceed to Lake Shore Drive, one stoplight east. Turn left on Lake Shore Drive and follow it until it ends at Sheridan Road. Turn right (north) onto Sheridan Road and proceed about one mile to Loyola.

From the South:
Take Lake Shore Drive north and follow it until it ends at Sheridan Road. Turn right (north) onto Sheridan Road and proceed about one mile to Loyola.

From the Tremont Hotel:
The hotel is less than a block from the #147 Express Bus line. The bus ride will be about 25 minutes up Chicago's lovely Lakeshore Drive and drops off right in front of Mundelein Center.

From Cat’s Cradle:
Walk a block south (left) and cross Sheridan Road to the CTA bus stop. Take the #147 bus.

PARKING
Proceed through the main entrance of campus toward the parking structure. The cost to park in the parking structure is $7/day. For those visitors who will be parking in Loyola’s garage, you will need to return to Campus Transportation (located in the parking garage) after you have registered for the conference and with on-campus housing so that your conference registration card can be activated to include your parking privileges. This pass will also enable you to take your car in and out of the garage at anytime without incurring additional parking fees.

A variety of multi-day passes are also available to load on the Ventra Card. Please note that the “L” does not accept cash fares; to travel on the “L”, you must use a Ventra Ticket, a Ventra Card, or an unlimited day or multi-day pass.
