
Jill joined us as our Director from the University of Missouri-Kansas City where she held the position of Assistant Director. Jill has an extensive background with survivors of sexual assault and crisis intervention. She has been an advocate for women in every area of their lives, and enjoys working with the women of NIU in helping them to achieve their educational goals.

Kate is our Assistant Director, having joined the NIU community after earning an M.A. in Women’s History from Sarah Lawrence College (New York). Her interests include the impact of cultural medias on women’s conceptions of body image and gender and sexual identity. She enjoys working with NIU students, and believes that programming and outreach efforts provide essential knowledge, resources, and opportunities that enhance academic training.

Katy joined the Women’s Resource Center in the spring of 2009 to serve as our Office Administrator. She recently moved to DeKalb after receiving her BA in Art from Arkansas Tech University and plans on joining the MFA program at NIU in the near future.

Carrie is the WRC Graduate Assistant; she joined us in the spring of 2009. She is currently in her second year of law school at NIU, and is active in the Public Interest Law Society and Law Review. Carrie has worked with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault as an advocate over the past three years, and plans to become a State’s Attorney specializing in crimes against women and children.

Lettie joined our staff in the spring of 2008 in order to assist with the newsletter and a variety of programming and outreach efforts. Lettie is a sophomore Biological Sciences major. She serves as a Peer Instructor for UNIV 101 and a Community Assistant in Douglas Hall.
Sarah received her Associate's of Science from McHenry County College in May of 2008. She then transferred to NIU as a junior in the fall of 2008. She is majoring in Child Development and minoring in Psychology. After volunteering at the Women's Resource Center her first semester at NIU, she has joined the Center's staff as a student worker. Sarah is a member of the NIU Vegetarian Education Group, and frequently goes to concerts in her free time.
Alex is a student worker who joined our staff in spring of 2009 after volunteering with the Center for a semester. She is a senior Sociology major pursuing minors in Women’s Studies and International Studies. By employing her vivid imagination and passion for gender equality, she is able to construct cutting edge programs that benefit the campus and surrounding communities.
Megan joined our staff in the spring of 2009 to assist with PCSW related activities such as advertising for the networking luncheons and coordinating the annual award ceremony. She is working on a B.A. in Political Science Public Law and Spanish Language and Literature. Megan is a member of Alpha Phi Omega, a co-ed service fraternity, and Lambda Sigma the sophomore honor society.
