How to you make a table in HTML?

To make a table in HTML, you first open the table command and add any parameters, and then you put in table row dividers and data table dividers within the rows. Look at the coding below, remembering that the periods after the lesser than symbols should be left out. The commands appear in the order they normally would in a three-column, two-row table.

<.table border=2 cellpadding=3>

<.tr> <.td> <./td> <.td> <./td> <.td> <./td> <./tr> <.tr> <.td> <./td> <.td> <./td> <.td> <./td> <./tr> <./table> The above coding, with the periods left out and the comments after the off switches deleted, creates the following table

This command opens a box in the row; whatever is typed after this command appears in the box This command opens the second box in row one; whatever is typed after it will appear in the box This command opens the third box in row one
This command opens the first box in row two Opens box two, row two Opens box three, row two

Now look at the coding again in a single screen below

<.table border=2 cellpadding=3>
<.tr>
<.td>This command opens a box in the row; whatever is typed after this command appears in the box <./td>
<.td>This command opens the second box in row one; whatever is typed after it will appear in the box <./td>
<.td>This command opens the third box in row one <./td>
<./tr>
<.tr>
<.td>This command opens the first box in row two <./td>
<.td>Opens box two, row two <./td>
<.td>Opens box three, row two <./td>
<./tr>
<./table>
