Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center
Visitors to campus are invited to stop at the Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center, located at 231 N. Annie Glidden Road.
The center includes a faculty library, state-of-the-art meeting and conference facilities and NIU Alumni Association offices.
On weekday visits at the center you can:
- Obtain a campus map and directions
- Purchase a reduced-rate visitor’s parking permit
- Enjoy a short video about Northern
- Attend a 30-minute Admissions presentation, weekdays at 10:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.
- Following the 30 minute Admissions presentation at the Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center, visit the Office of Admissions, 101 Williston Hall, in the center of the NIU campus to join the 11:30 a.m. or 2 p.m. weekday campus tour.
- Weekday hours at the Barsema Alumni and Visitor Center are 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. (excluding holidays). The Barsema Alumni and Visitor Center is closed on Saturdays and on Open House dates.
- For a Saturday admissions visit and campus tour from September through May, go to the Office of Admissions at 101 Williston Hall in the center of the NIU campus. The NIU Admissions Office is open, September through May, on Saturdays, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. (excluding holidays). Saturday campus tours are offered at 12 noon only.
