Use of Video Conferencing Rooms
for Other (Non-Credit) Activities
- The room rental plus hourly equipment charges below apply to non-credit activities that use the video conferencing equipment in Gabel Hall; the Family Health, Wellness, and Literacy Center (FHWLC) ; Music Building; NIU Hoffman Estates, NIU Naperville, and NIU Rockford.
- The NIU-discount rates apply to NIU employees who use videoconferencing rooms and equipment for activities that benefit students and/or do not generate external income.
- The external, non-NIU rates apply to use of video conferencing for non-NIU related purposes; e.g. activities connected with organizations that are not affiliated with NIU and/or activities that generate external income.
- Businesses, community organizations and members of the public are welcome to use these facilities at the external rates.
- One pre-meeting test will be provided at no charge; hourly rates will apply to additional tests.
- Rates apply Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Costs associated with opening buildings for video conferencing on Friday or Saturday evenings or on Sundays may be negotiated. Contact Brian Becker at (815) 753-8980 or bbecker@niu.edu for information.
