Step 1: This is the fun part! Come up with an idea for an independent research or artistry project and share your idea with a faculty member in your department.
Step 2:Review the proposal guidelines and requirements. Complete and submit an electronic copy of your proposal with your professor’s signature to firstname.lastname@example.org (Please include all supplemental materials with your proposal). Fall submissions will be accepted until 11:59pm CST on Friday, October 3, 2014, and spring submissions will be accepted until 11:59pm CST on Friday, February 6, 2015.
Step 3: Students whose projects are selected are granted up to $2,500 and can begin their projects as early as January 1, 2015 or anytime during the 12 months afterward.
Please Note: Students are responsible for covering expenses beyond $2,500. Projects should come under the direct supervision and evaluation of members of the regular faculty. Students must submit documentation (final report, receipts, pictures) to the Office of Student Engagement & Experiential Learning within 6 weeks of completion of their project.
