Northern Illinois University's School of Music is where many outstanding musicians make the transition from student to teacher/performer.

Chicago is only 60 miles east of DeKalb and is home to many world-class performing organizations such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Lyric Opera. DeKalb is known for its annual CornFest and interesting historic buildings. The School of Music is home to the world-renowned Avalon String Quartet.

In addition to teaching at NIU, I am a Buffet Clarinets Artist/Clinician.  I have performed and given research presentations at many ClarinetFests of the International Clarinet Association, for whom I am Illinois State Chair, and I have performed with many orchestras in the United States. I play regularly in several groups in the Chicago area. Vitae.
